Pre-School Dance
Children and their parents love the Dancing School Kids ™ curriculum
with its happy songs and fun filled dances that help children learn basic
concepts such as right & left, counting music, matching the teacher and also
helps them develop their creativity in spontaneous dances of their own.
Eugenia Smith created the songs and dances which are used by all faculty members in their pre-school classes in this school. Eugenia Smith has taught many of the songs and dances to teachers throughout this country at national dance conventions and workshops sharing the joy of dancing to age appropriate music that makes learning fun.
Pre-School Classes at Eugenia's Dance Studio
provide an excellent foundation for learning tap,
ballet, jazz, musical theater and also contribute to
reading readiness and success in school.
Combination Tap & Ballet (For School Age Children 5-8 yrs. Old
These classes are ideal for children 5 through 8 years old who have never danced before and for children just 5 & 6 years old with previous pre-school dance experience.
Dancing classes are an important part of a child's life in these early school years, giving the child added confidence which is often reflected in school activities.
More difficult dance steps and dance concepts in the Dancing School Kids™ curriculum are taught along with new dance combinations performed to a variety of styles of music.
Jazz Classes are recommended as an addition to combination classes.
This combination of classes gives students a good foundation for future achievment.
Jazz classes use modern pop music and at this level, also offer an introduction to
Hip Hop.
