Joseph Davis State Park has facilities for a wide variety of recreational activities. The terrain is generally flat, with fields, woodlands and ponds. Anglers can fish for largemouth bass in the pond near the park entrance or for a variety of freshwater fish from the fishing dock on the lower Niagara River. The park also has a nature trail, as well as cross-country skiing/snowshoeing and snowmobiling trails and an 27-hole frisbee disc golf course.
Directions: Buffalo: Take I-190 north, go past first Robert Moses exit. Get off at last exit (just before bridge into Canada). Go right on "Loop" and follow to fork in the road. Follow the sign that reads "Robert Moses-Fort Niagara." Exit at Pletcher Rd.
Seasons/Hours: Park is open year round. Small game hunting is permitted only during pheasant season, water fowl hunting with permit only during season. Pets: Household pets only; caged or on a leash not more than 6 feet. Not allowed in buildings or on improved walkways and boardwalks.
