Beaver Island State Park is located at the south end of Grand Island in the upper Niagara River. The 950 acre park has a half-mile sandy beach for swimming, adjacent 80 slip marina with both seasonal and transient boat slips, fishing access, bike and nature trails, playgrounds, picnic areas, athletic fields, an 18-hole golf course and a historic home which was the summer residence of President Cleveland. In winter, visitors can cross-country ski, snowshoe, sled or ice fish.
Directions: On Grand Island, 9 miles north of Buffalo. Take "Beaver Island" exit off I-190
Seasons/Hours: Open year round. Recreation and nature programs continue in winter. Golf season runs from April to November, water fowl hunting is by permit only in season. Pets: Household pets only; caged or on a leash not more than 6 feet. Not allowed in bathing areas, buildings or on improved walkways and boardwalks.
