Woodlawn Beach State Park, the newest park in the region, has a lovely, natural sand beach nearly a mile long and panoramic views of Lake Erie. In addition to swimming, visitors can windsurf, birdwatch, play volleyball and sunbathe. The park has a playground for children as well.

Directions: On Lake Erie, off Route 5 in Hamburg, which is south of Buffalo.

Seasons/Hours: The Park is open from dawn to dusk year round. The summer swimming hours, from Memorial Day to July 3rd, weekends only, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. July 4th through Labor Day weekend, Monday through Sunday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m..

Pets: No pets allowed during summer operating hours.
